3. Incorrect Trademark Form or Details

• Wrong class selection.

• Errors in applicant’s name, address, or trademark description.

4. Use of Prohibited or Offensive Words

• Contains words that are obscene, offensive, or against public morality.

• Usage of restricted symbols like national flags, emblems, or “Gandhi,” “Ashoka,” etc.

5. No Proof of Use (for ‘Proposed to be Used’ Marks)

• Lack of evidence supporting prior usage (when claimed).

• Use of the mark is not clearly established in the application.

6. Vague or Incomplete Specification of Goods/Services

• Description of goods/services is unclear or too broad.

• Not aligned with the Nice Classification.

7. Deceptive Nature of the Mark
